InfoComm 2026: Immersive Experiences Featured on the Show Floor
Experts explain how Pro AV technologies can enhance sports venues, retail environments, and corporate offices.
Developed by InfoComm as part of its new "AV in Action" show floor strategy, three all-new immersive experiences will demonstrate how Pro AV technologies are transforming modern workplaces, retail environments, live events, and entertainment experiences through hands-on, real-world applications.
Located in the North Hall, The Pitch is powered by Diversified and illustrates the modern fan experience. Stephen Glancey, digital practice leader for Diversified, said technology has changed sporting events from something fans simply watch into something they actively experience.
“Today, the game is only one part of the overall environment,” he explained. “Fans expect real-time content, dynamic visuals, interactive displays, social moments, mobile integration, premium viewing, and personalized experiences that keep them connected before, during, and after the event. For The Pitch, that means showing how technology can bring the energy of the match into the physical space around it, creating a shared experience that feels live, social, and impossible to replicate at home.”

In the Central Hall, the Retail Experience will showcase how integrated AV, digital signage, audio and content technologies are transforming customer engagement and physical retail environments. The experience includes technology contributions from Bluesound Professional, BrightSign, Poppulo, and Samsung. According to Sam Phenix, CEO and founder of Phenix Consulting, in-person retail has one major advantage over online: experience.
“Pro AV technology plays an increasingly important role in making that experience more engaging, more informative, and ultimately more memorable,” she said. “The most effective retail environments use AV tech intentionally to support storytelling, improve navigation, personalize content, reduce friction, and/or create moments of discovery. But ultimately, the technology should support the retail aka business objective, not distract from it.”
The Smart Workplace, powered by FORTÉ, will bring the modern workplace to life in the Central Hall. Jason Roberts, VP of workplace strategy at FORTÉ, believes AI should improve the workplace experience without becoming the experience itself.
“Within the Smart Workplace, AI becomes part of the operational fabric of the environment,” he explained. “The goal is not to build a workplace that feels more technical. The goal is to build one that feels more natural, more connected, and ultimately more effective for the people using it every day.”

Executive broadcast studios are another part of today’s corporate world, as company leaders are speaking to distributed teams across locations and often time zones. “A simple video call is no longer enough for many of those moments,” Roberts offered. “In the Smart Workplace, the executive broadcast environment demonstrates how organizations can elevate leadership communication without making it overly complex or intimidating.”
