[Step Beyond the Unexpected at ISE 2026]
Today, Duncan Miller, director of global marketing, Adder Technology, dishes on KVM and which is preferred choice in today's installations.
SCN: What technology or industry trend will be providing the most buzz on the ISE 2026 show floor?
Duncan Miller: We expect to see virtual production take center stage this year at ISE. High-performance IP KVM is essential in this space and the evolution in advanced technologies over recent years will provide an interesting narrative to the show.
SCN: What is your company’s main focus at the show this year?
DM: Our main focus at the show this year is demonstrating how high-performance IP KVM enables greater control, flexibility, and resilience across Pro AV environments. We are showcasing real-world use cases across virtual production, live events, and control rooms, including how APIs and secure remote access are being used within KVM networks to streamline workflows.

SCN: What makes ISE a unique trade show for the Pro AV industry?
DM: ISE brings the Pro AV ecosystem together under one roof, from breakthrough innovations and major product launches to fully realized real-world applications. It’s the one place where emerging technologies can be experienced in context, and where meaningful connections are forged across manufacturers, integrators and end users.
SCN: Which is more popular in today’s command and control facilities, traditional KVM or IP KVM?
DM: IP KVM is the preferred choice in modern Pro AV command-and-control environments. The adoption of this technology is accelerating due to its flexibility, scalability, and ability to support distributed workflows across locations. Adder is often the first choice because of our proven expertise in high performance IP KVM delivering the reliability, security and low-latency required for mission-critical Pro AV applications.
