Vivitek Corporation, a provider of environmentally responsible and innovative visual display and presentation products, has announced the first two products in its new line of displays for digital signage applications. The DS4200D and DS4700D are 42-inch and 47-inch commercial and industrial use screens, both built around the industry's highest quality HD-LCD panels.

"We have designed these first products to set the standard for all of Vivitek's signage offerings to follow," said Sam Malik, Vivitek's VP of sales and marketing. "We want the industry to know that Vivitek's line of displays will always have the best technology built into the richest and most flexible package of features and be available at the market's best-value price points."

Vivitek's digital signage solutions each display in brilliantly clear 1920x1080p accurate color and image resolution. Intricate details, and precise video movement are optimized for variable light and high-usage digital signage placements including all retail, control room, transportation, and corporate communication venues. The rugged, and robust industrial construction of both units affords heavy-duty 24/7 operation. In addition, thermal dissipation and sensor-activated cooling fans provide efficient control and dispersing of heat in harsh or unprotected environments further reducing key component stress.

With a high contrast ratio of 2000:1 on the DS4200D, and 1500:1 for the DS4700D, both displays blast in ultra-high clarity for use in even the most brilliant ambient light scenarios. The VESA FPMPMI-compliant flat-panel mounting interface on each unit allows multiple installation fixture and mounting options. Open-frame chassis and carrying handles further facilitate easy handling and installation, and optional factory-installed protection screens are also available for more secure placement.

The displays are each equipped with add-on expansion module design with HDI for customization. Three interchangeable slots and blind-mate architecture ensure connectivity and reliability. Modular design features also minimize external cable needs, and portrait mode capabilities optimize the digital displays for use in retail point-of-sale applications.

True to Vivitek's energy and environmental considerations, both display products comply with stringent RoHS standards and are built with superior power saving features. Optional management systems include Instant-On and low-maintenance and low-power operation modes. The units easily accept today's most highly functional software platforms for efficient, and flexible managed performance over LAN and WAN systems.

Vivitek's DS4200D and DS4700D are available now through authorized Vivitek dealers and distributors nationwide. The screen units both have 1-year limited warranties on parts and labor, as well as toll-free tech support for the life of the display. True to the Vivitek Value Promise, the low MSRP for the fully featured DS4200 is only $2899 and the DS4700 is available for just $4399.
