Electronic Systems Consultants (ESC), an Aspen-based firm that

  • captured six awards at the recent (CEDIA) National Lifestyle Awards, completed the installation of a TITAN 1080-700 in the wellknown Colorado venue Belly Up, Aspen.
  • As Belly Up, Aspen embodies a multi-faceted venue, it also represents a major expansion of the integration services that ESC is usually called upon to supply. Traditionally a home systems specific integrator and consultant, ESC was asked to manage the venue’s video integration by the owner of Belly Up, Aspen. The owner was an existing ESC home cinema client, so when it came time to implement a bold visual display, ESC was his preferred integrator.
  • The initial concept was to augment the Belly Up, Aspen’s already popular live concerts with visual presentations, sporting event screenings, and private functions centered on local events such as the annual X Games. ESC selected the TITAN 1080p-700, in conjunction with a custom 16-foot wide 16:9 Stewart Filmscreen, to deliver intense, largescale imagery. When lowered, the screen completely conceals the stage area, thereby creating a clean and uncluttered screening space. David Stys, integrator with ESC, summarized why the TITAN 1080p-700 was used for this application: “The TITAN’s exceptional performance and image quality coupled with its wide range of capabilities and lens combinations allowed us to exceed the client’s expectations. That’s quite an accomplishment, given the particularly inflexible installation area that holds the projector.”
