ISE Insiders 2026: EvertzAV and Game-Changing IPMX Solutions
Paulo Francisco of EvertzAV discusses what to expect in Barcelona next month.
We continue our ISE 2026 preshow prep today with EvertzAV. Set to showcase new innovations at the show, running from Feb. 3-6 at Fira de Barcelona, Evertz talks trends and pre-show buzz, plus gives you an exclusive sneak preview of what you'll see on the show floor.
Today, Paulo Francisco, VP of engineering at EvertzAV, talks IPMX and the inaugural testing event.
SCN: What technology or industry trend will be providing the most buzz on the ISE 2026 show floor?
Paulo Francisco: We’re excited about the introduction of the Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX) certification program and inaugural test event. IPMX is a game-changer for the Pro AV space, as it allows customers to build best-of-breed AV over IP systems, and the official certification program is the mechanism by which, as an industry, we can assure multi-vendor interoperability.
SCN: What is your company’s main focus at the show this year?
PF: This year, we will be showcasing our AV over IP products that support IPMX, including our new MMA-25G network gateways. The 25GbE, transcode capable, network gateways are the latest addition to our end-to-end, network-based distribution and routing solutions. The MMA-25G network gateways provide RAW and JPEG XS processing for pristine transport of UHD signals over an IP network.

SCN: What makes ISE a unique trade show for the Pro AV industry?
PF: ISE is unique in that it brings all facets of the Pro AV industry under one roof. It has become an essential industry event by showcasing the latest technologies, from LED displays to unified collaboration solutions.
SCN: Why was IPMX support important to add to your NUCLEUS AVoIP platform?
PF: Our NUCLEUS platform provides a simplified and cost-effective approach to AV over IP distribution using COTS network switches. Our unique hybrid architecture supports IPMX with the unparalleled quality of JPEG XS and remains fully backward compatible with all existing NUCLEUS features—giving customers the best of both worlds: IPMX interoperability and access to NUCLEUS’s extensive feature set. Additionally, support for JPEG XS/TDC enables unprecedented quality for highly compressed streams, including demanding 4K60 4:4:4 content delivered over 1Gbps transport.
