Alcorn McBride Introduces Compact HD Video Player
  • Alcorn McBride has introduced the Digital Video Machine HD, a high definition video player designed for maximum reliability under challenging conditions. Offering a 30Mbps maximum playback rate in a compact chassis that contains no moving parts, the DVM-8400HD provides superb video quality for a wide variety of applications including theme parks, cruise ships, transportation, museums and display kiosks.
  • Video clips are stored on CompactFlash cards; files can be copied directly to the cards or transferred via USB or Ethernet. Clips may be triggered via contact closures, playlists, real-time schedules, RS-232, Ethernet, or via GPS-tracked geographical zones. A front panel knob and display helps to provide status and quick access to configuration options.
  • Measuring 7.1 W x 1.75 H x 11 D inches, the DVM-8400HD can be mounted in equipment racks, under tables, behind monitors, or in other convenient spots for the user. It supports the most popular audio and video encoding standards including MPEG 1, 2 and 4, h.264, VC-1, WMA, AAC, Dolby and DTS. Video outputs include Component (YPbPr or RGB), Composite (SD), HDMI, and HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M). See Alcorn McBride at InfoComm Booth 3719.
