Elmo's SUV-Cam DVR System

ELMO's new SUV-Cam is a pocket-portable digital recording system that enables private investigators, security, and law enforcement professionals to covertly record video images and audio anytime, anyplace. The compact SUV-Cam can be hand-held, worn on clothing, or attached to a dashboard, mirror, or other vehicle component. The investigator simply points the microcamera at the subject and pushes a button to start recording. The microcamera, which is attached to the recorder/monitor by a 2.6-foot or 4.9-foot cable, makes it easy to record anywhere. Users can pan entire rooms or move in for detailed close-ups. Images can be viewed on the built-in monitor and easily transferred from SD cards to laptops. The complete system--a waterproof microcamera head only 3.3 inches long and 0.7 inches in diameter and MPEG4 DVR with a 2.2-inch LCD monitor--weighs under 0.6 pounds.

GE Security's Legend IP Dome Camera

GE's Security business has introduced the Legend IP pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) dome camera, which is the first IP camera to incorporate GE's SilkTrak, providing smooth, precise performance by eliminating the gears and belts that cause rough, jerky motions. The Legend IP incorporates an advanced hardware encoder that allows high-resolution, full-frame rate video to be encoded and transmitted over a LAN/WAN. It provides a built-in MPEG-4 decoder offering D1 resolution at 30 frames-per-second over a 10/100BASE-T Ethernet network. Additionally, Legend IP's built-in web page allows users to connect, view, and control the dome using any PC with Microsoft Internet Explorer installed on the same network.

Niles' CAM-PB CCTV Camera

Niles Audio Corporation's CAM-PB color CCTV camera is the company's first security solution. The CAM-PB is a miniature, color CCTV security camera that provides reliable monitoring and is small enough to mount anywhere. Featuring a die-cast, aluminum housing and pivoting bracket, the CAM-PB can rotate 360 degrees and pivot 90 degrees, so users can see who's coming and going from any angle. Additionally, the CAM-PB sports a high-resolution, low-lux CCD element that provides clear images, even in low light conditions, and a built-in automatic iris control that ensures an optimal picture on bright, sunny days without "blooming" or "washouts."
