chicago, il-Several master value added distributors (MVADs) of AV and videoconference products and services have joined forces to create a single national provider for products, training, service, and support, called TekAV.
TekAV provides coast to coast support for over 500 dealers, covering all aspects of visual communications products and solutions. The companies involved are: TMDistributing in Ft. Worth, TX; Emergent Media Marketing in Atlanta, GA; KBZ Communications in Doylestown, PA; Advanced Media Design in Newbury Park, CA; and Visitec Marketing Associates in St. Charles, IL.
A benefit to TekAV's dealers is the ability to gain official manufacturer certification training within their local area. "Traditionally, certification training often requires expensive travel and additional time out of the field," stated Ken Colson of Emergent Media Marketing. "By bringing these classes closer to home, our dealers will be able to reduce their expenses significantly." The company aims to have at least five regional training centers across the country up and running by the end of the first quarter of 2007.
Additionally, TekAV will manage warranty replacement, provide 24/7 technical support, software renewals, installation, and managed network services, giving regional dealers the ability to deliver end to end solutions for their customers.
