Extron GlobalViewer Enterprise
Extron Electronics’ GlobalViewer Enterprise is a new server- based software for managing and supporting larger AV installations using a Web browser. It provides an easy upgrade path for existing users of Extron’s free GlobalViewer Web application using configuration wizards, not programming. Compatible with any web browser, GlobalViewer Enterprise provides enhanced help desk functionality, enterprise-wide global scheduling and monitoring, time-stamped AV system data collection for reporting, and also supports integration of rooms controlled by other programmable control systems, such as AMX and Crestron.
Community Column Line-Array
Community Professional has introduced ENTASYS, a new high-performance, three-way full-range column line-array loudspeaker system designed to deliver true line-array performance in a compact, weather-resistant package. Each ENTASYS full-range column includes six low frequency neodymium drivers, eighteen 2.35-inch midrange drivers and six 7-inch long x 1-inch wide planar-coupled patent pending Compact Ribbon Emulator (CRE) high frequency elements. The ENTASYS line is designed to be modular, with multiple ENTASYS columns used to create extremely narrow focused vertical coverage previously only possible using powered, steered arrays.
Vtron Interactive Digital Board
Vtron Technologies has launched a new interactive digital display product—the Interactive Digital Board, Model IDB 3670—for the educational, broadcasting and conferencing fields. The IDB 3670 features a super-slim design and true HD resolution 1920 x 1080 display, and is equipped with built-in computer for processing and storing of all types of data, files or software.
L-Acoustics’ LA-RAK touring rack is the central element of the manufacturer’s new system architecture built upon the LA8 amplified controller. It offers a drive rack solution for all L-Acoustics systems covering signal and power distribution in a comprehensive plug and play touring package. LA-RAK was created as a universal platform designed to facilitate cross-rental between DOSC Network members and to ensure compatibility with the legacy analog cabling standard of L-Acoustics systems. LA-RAK’s design is entirely modular allowing the user to physically assemble and interconnect multiple modules to fit numerous applications.
Avocent Wireless Extender
Avocent’s new edition of the Emerge MPX extender, the MPX1500T high-definition (HD) multipoint extender transmitter, wirelessly distributes HD content from one source to multiple destinations. With no need for new wiring, wireless digital signage minimises installation time and business disruption for the end user. And for the integrator, wireless video distribution allows a turnkey system to be created, pre-staged and installed at a client site. The MPX1500T transmitter has new functions to centrally manage the MPX extender and attached devices over the internet, such as turning displays on or off. The MPX extenders create an AV infrastructure that can be centrally accessed and controlled through a web management interface.
Optoma Pico Projector
Optoma has introduced the first pico projector based on the DLP pico chipset. Smaller than most smart phones, this new micro-portable projector fits in your palm and is the ideal companion to ultra-portable media devices such as iPods, PDAs, smart phones and digital cameras. When connected to an ultra- mobile device, the four-ounce Optoma pico projector allows users to share photos and videos, and enjoy a far better visual experience with an image that is up to 100 times larger than the small screen of the source device.
Panasonic PT-DZ12000U and PT-D12000U
Panasonic Projector Systems Company has unveiled its new 12,000 lumen WUXGA threechip DLP projectors. The PTDZ12000U and PT-D12000U models are designed for large venue and rental and staging solutions such as commercial digital cinema, higher education, corporate, and digital advertising customers. Both the PT-DZ12000U and PT-D12000U include new, built-in edge blending and a geometric adjustment feature that enables both projectors to deliver dynamic warping capability and presentation solutions.

Gefen’s DVI-1500HD operates through robust sender and receiver units connected to the source and display at local and remote locations. One 4- link LC-LC multimode fiber cable delivers hi-def video from sender to receiver, supporting resolutions to 1080p full HD or 1920 x 1200 for computers. Up to 500 meters in distance can be traveled with an instant delivery of data. HDCP-compliant video may be extended up to 100 meters using an additional CAT-5 cable for DDC transmission. This long-range DVI extender is ideal for digital signage applications, capable of transmitting hi-def video with zero signal loss or delay.
Kramer Long Distance Twisted Pair
Kramer Electronics has announced the introduction of the Cobra line of ultra long distance twisted pair products. Designed for professional audio/video systems integration and public display/ signage markets, the Cobra line provides previously unattainable solutions for long-distance resolution and control. The line includes four transmitters, four receivers, two matrix switchers, and one distribution amplifier. The Cobra family of products offers one of the industry’s highest video resolution and distance capabilities to date: 1920x1200 at 1,300 feet. The products also feature bi-directional RS-232 for two-way communication and control.
Planar Clarity x100HD
Planar’s Clarity x100HD is a 100-inch large screen display designed to be flush-mounted in a wall, ideal for conference rooms, control rooms, security monitoring, and broadcast applications. For true-to-life images, the full high-definition x100HD features DLP BrilliantColor technology, which offers a brighter display and a wider color gamut not available in competing technologies. Neutrik’s 32 Amp PowerCon is a high-capacity connector that meets the ever increasing demand for higher power transfer and load in the AV industry. Neutrik’s enhanced 32 Amp PowerCon is a locking three-conductor AC connector system with contacts for line, neutral and pre-mating ground. RGB Spectrum Linx DVI 3200
RGB Spectrum’s Linx DVI 3200 supports up to 32 input and output channels with resolutions up to 1600x1200 60Hz or 1920x1080p. The 3200 is equipped with dual-redundant power supplies and offers front panel, web based and serial control. Factory preconfigured systems are available in 16x16, 16x32, 32x16, and 32x32 matrices. Smaller configurations are field upgradeable. To simplify system integration, a host of additional features is elegantly integrated into the unit, eliminating the need for various outboard devices such as EDID emulators and signal boosters.

Philips is introducing the 3D WOWzone, a large 132-inch 3x3 multiscreen 3D display wall, designed to grab people?s attention with stunning 3D multimedia presentations. The 3D WOWzone consists of nine 42-inch Philips WOWvx 3D displays in a 3x3 multi-screen display setup. The 3D WOWzone is a complete end-to-end system solution including 3D displays, mounting rig, media streamer computers, control software, and dedicated 3D content creation tools.
Analog Way Di-VentiX II
The Di-VentiX II by Analog Way is a multi layer mixer scaler seamless switcher with universal analog and digital input/output and full high resolution digital processing. It offers numerous live effects including keying and moving PIP as well as three different operation modes: multi layer mixer, stand alone embedded edge blending and eight by two seamless native matrix. Di-VentiX II offers eight universal analog inputs including four fitted with digital DVI and SDI. SDI is compatible with SD and HD TV formats so is DVI, which offers computer formats in addition.

DPI Lightning Projection System
Digital Projection International has introduced the Lightning 1080p Ultra Contrast, a new product in its Lightning Professional Series II platform. Sharing the same footprint, lenses, and control protocol as the Lightning 30 and 40-1080p displays, the Ultra Contrast has received major enhancements to its optical system in order to maximize contrast performance and black level. Specifically, the Lightning 1080p Ultra Contrast delivers 10,000 lumens and an impressive 4,000:1 contrast ratio.
The Hitachi CP-WX625 LCD projector features a brightness of 4,000 ANSI lumens and a 2,000-hour hybrid filter, along with networking functionality and Hitachi’s proprietary My Image campus notification system. It is specially designed for use with widescreen-format laptops and imaging applications that use 16:10 aspect ratios. Additionally, the CP-WX625 features picture-by-picture functionality as well as an HDMI terminal, allowing digital signals to be transmitted digitally to the projector.
Yamaha’s AFC2 system can be used to improve the architectural acoustic characteristics of a room, and has additional applications focusing on the advantages of optimized reverberation time. AFC is a regenerative system that actively utilizes the acoustical feedback of a system to control acoustical conditions while preserving the existing room acoustics. As the core processor in an AFC system, the AFC2 utilizes digital signal processing devices and enables such systems to more easily integrate with ethernet and other third party control networks.

The MAX1301-HD is a scale switcher designed for multi-signal processing, signals of composite video, S-video, VGA, HDMI, and microphones can be scaled to be high-resolution VGA and HDMI format and switched out. Inputs include: four channels of AV input on RCA connectors; four channels of video input on S-Video and audio on F3.5 mini phone ports; three channels of VGA input on female 15-pin HD and audio on F3.5 mini phone ports; one channel of HDMI input on female HDMI connector and audio on 3.5 mini phone port; and two channels of audio input on microphone connectors.
