Building on more than a decade of success with its legendary Solstice Pod, Mersive is poised to make yet another leap forward in keeping people connected with the software-based Mersive Collaboration Suite.
Theresa Benson, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Mersive, recently sat down with AV Technology’s Cindy Davis to discuss how the three solutions comprising the Suite are thoughtfully designed to accommodate organizations of any shape or size.
Check out the full video interview below.
For Benson, a desire to advance the entire collaboration space has been at the heart of her career at Mersive from the start.
“As a technologist, I think, ‘Why haven't we been able to solve this elegantly?’ You see display manufacturers trying to solve it, and you see computer manufacturers trying to solve it, but nobody has come up with a bulletproof, smooth way of connecting.” Benson continued, “I hope Mersive is the rising tide, and that what we do lifts all ships across the collaboration space.”
Mersive’s Collaboration Suite marks a paradigm shift for the company. The most approachable solution in the Suite is the Mersive Smart app, designed for smaller businesses with smaller budgets. It offers simple wireless sharing to smart devices without the need for a pod. Mersive Essentials is the mid-range product, with a Mini device and subscription plan ideal for conference rooms, huddle spaces, study rooms, and other places where teams gather. The performance tier is Mersive Pro, featuring dual 4K out, a powerful performance processor, more cache than ever, multi-share, and AI features for creating gorgeous visual experiences for complex or high-impact spaces.
“We looked at the very human pain points of connectivity and asked, ‘Why are they there?’” Benson said. “How might we help an organization be able to share content wherever they want—not just on the screen right in front of people standing in the room? It's all about that connection of people and ideas and concepts—on one pane of glass or many panes of glass—that we tried to bring forward with this new product line.”
Security is a perennial concern in any workplace, but particularly in settings where sensitive information is being shared using collaboration technology and vulnerable networked peripherals. Mersive customers, however, can rest assured that the Mersive Collaboration Suite will have no such weakness.
“When we built these new products, security was not an afterthought; it was the first thought,” Benson said. “We have done the work of educating our people, defining policies and practices for software development, and then doing the hard work. And it's really involved, now that we've put this extra layer of security in our software and firmware, but it's worth it.”
And finally, in an era of ever-increasing technological complexity, Mersive strives to bring things back to basics—from lightning-fast installation to an intuitive user experience. Mersive’s retro website (retromersive.com)—created just for InfoComm—is a nostalgic throwback to simpler times.
“We have this mantra of: ‘Tech was easy, then it got hard, and we fixed that.’ Thinking back to the original Pong and Space Invaders, you didn't need a manual to use what was insanely high tech back then. Somewhere along the way, technology companies forgot that and made everything complicated. So the whole idea goes back to when things were easy and intuitive and just worked. Retromersive.com will walk people through that journey.”
To experience the Mersive Collaboration Suite firsthand, be sure to stop by the Mersive at InfoComm 2025 and play a game of Centipede while you’re at it in the company’s retro-themed booth (5055).
