Altinexis releasing its CP452-009 in-wall multi-touch panel. A new addition to the company’s expanding line of touch screen controllers. Designed around the Intel Atom processor and featuring an embedded solid state hard disk drive, the new CP452-009 touch panel controller is well suited to provide smooth, tactile, on-screen slider movement for precise control over volume, lighting, and similar incremental adjustments.

Installing the Altinex CP452-009 is a straight-forward, easy process. Once the hole in the drywall has been cut, the control panel’s mounting frame is inserted and secured to the wall by means of the frame’s steel “dog ear” fasteners. The CP452-009 touch panel and its frame mount securely within the mounting frame. Place the flat black, silver, or white bezel (optionally available) over the CP452-009 and the job is complete.

The new Altinex CP452-009 offers the connectivity that is ideal for controlling a multitude of devices. Its two LAN ports allow connectivity to a local area network or a direct connection to another TCP/IP device while its COM port can control virtually any serial device using standard RS-232 communication. Adding still greater flexibility, the CP452-009 provides four USB ports.

The new Altinex CP452-009 In-Wall MultiTouch Panel carries a MSRP of $2,775. Availability is expected on June 22, 2010. MSRP pricing for the optional bezels and power extender cable is as follow:

· Flat black bezel: $225
· Brushed aluminum/silver bezel: $225
· White bezel: $225
· 50-foot power extender cable: $75
