Wohler CD-1 Closed Caption Video Monitor Adaptor

Wohler’s closed caption video monitor adaptor decodes and renders closed caption subtitles for any video monitor to display, conveniently allowing the operator to confirm the presence and accuracy of critical video and caption data using existing monitors that lack caption display capability. Suitable for any point in the broadcast or production chain, this small, externallypowered unit translates an HD/SD-SDI multi-rate input containing closed captioning signaling into a burnedin HD/SD-SDI or DVI signal with open captions added to the picture. The CD-1 is designed to automatically detect and decode WST, OP-47, and EIA-608/EIA-708 subtitles. Output options include two open-caption HD/SDI outputs, a DVI open-caption output, and an RS-232 output of closed caption contents.

Roland Systems Group Multi-Viewer/Matrix Switcher

Roland Systems Group’s MVS-12 multi-viewer/switcher can group and display up to 12 SD video signals to a single HD or RGB monitor. This multi-viewer is a companion for the line of Edirol SD video mixers such as the LVS-800 and V-8. The MVS-12 is ideal for many applications where users need to preview multiple video sources at once such as in worship, school, corporate, rental, and event applications. The MVS-12 is designed to eliminate the need for individual preview monitors, combining 12 SD inputs into one LCD display. In addition to the multi-viewer function the MVS-12 has a built-in matrix switcher allowing up to 12 video sources to be routed to up to four separate outputs such as separate rooms, screens, or web-streaming devices for live broadcasts.

Digital Projection International’s E-Vision series is the newest platform in DPI’s high-brightness, high-value projection line. EAW QX Series Loudspeakers

EAW’s QX Series loudspeakers are optimized for installed system applications that require directivity in a low-profile form. The QX Series provides high output point source clusters. Martin Audio Maxedia Broadcast

Martin Audio’s Maxedia Broadcast is available on i7 hardware along with the new Maxedia 4 engine, delivering performance and allowing up to eight simultaneous video playbacks in full high definition resolution. This latest software update includes over 40 new features from low latency video input engine performance to a new user interface with enhanced controls. A series of enhanced controls has been implemented that is intended to accelerate workflow. The new user interface includes a new color scheme to facilitate long programming hours in the darkness, yet will still be familiar to Maxedia users.

Electro-Voice RE-2PRO

Electro-Voice’s new additions to its RE- 2PRO wireless microphone line include the WTU-2 compact bodypack and the PHTU-2 handheld transmitter. The RE- 2PRO is a programmable wireless system featuring Electro-Voice’s one-touch Auto-ClearScan function. Equipped with an array of features derived from the REV system and offering the performance of the RE-2 system, the RE-2PRO offers of wired sound quality. The addition of the WTU-2 and PHTU-2 see the RE-2PRO system evolve towards even greater detail, and durability.

Kramer VP-200N5 1x2 Computer Graphics Video Distribution Amplifier

Kramer Electronics’ VP-200N5 is a high-performance, HDTV compatible distribution amplifier for computer graphics video signals with resolutions up to and exceeding UXGA. The unit accepts one computer graphic input, provides buffering and isolation, and then distributes the signal to two identical outputs on a high-density 15-pin HD connector. The VP-200N5 has a video bandwidth of 370MHz, to ensure performance with high-resolution graphics modes such as UXGA. The VP-200N5 features Kramer’s Kr-isp advanced sync processing technology. It restores the sync signal waveform to provide a sharp, stable image and ensure compatibility with a wide range of computers, even if the sync level is too low.

Audio-Technica ATCS-60 IR Conference System

Audio-Technica’s ATCS-60 IR is a selfcontained wireless distributed audio system using infrared communications technology, designed for corporate, government, and educational applications. The system offers many practical features, providing ease of setup and operation, and eliminating the need for microphone wiring and ceiling speakers. The ATCS-60 IR conference system offers all the advantages of infrared communication, including security, high noise immunity, and low power requirements and features wireless microphone units. As a result, it offers more flexibility, with freedom to easily change microphone locations and system configurations. Even for a conference scenario of over 100 participants, the setup takes far less time than other conference systems.

Mackie VLZ3 4-Bus Mixers

Mackie has introduced two mid-format analog consoles, each featuring dual internal FX processors, dedicated compression and four-track recording via USB. Mackie VLZ3 4-Bus Premium FX Mixers with USB deliver performance in a compact design with the channel count needed for SR applications. The Mackie 2404-VLZ3 and 3204-VLZ3 feature low-noise, high-headroom XDR2 mic channels and two dedicated channels for stereo inputs. Inline compression is available on each of the four subgroups and on four select channels. Dual 32-bit RMFX effects processors offer 16 presets, including tap delay.

PESA Sabertooth

PESA’s new Sabertooth fiber optic miniextenders are designed to transport SD/ HD/3G-SDI video over long distances using just one fiber optic cable. As one of the smallest profile coax-to-fiber and fiber-to-coax digital video media converters, the Sabertooth has a diameter of 0.55-inches and is only 3.14-inches long. They provide high performance media conversion between BNC equipped 75-Ohm coax and LC connector-style single mode or multimode fiber cable. With a diameter smaller than a BNC connector, the Sabertooth is designed for the tightest possible unit-to-unit pitch available making them ideal for sharing fiber and coax connections on a standard BNC-based router.

OWI AMP-1SGRN Speaker Amplifier

OWI’s AMP-1SGRN green speaker amplifier recently earned UL Environment’s Energy Efficiency Certification Mark for Energy Star compliance. The AMP-1SGRN Speaker Amplifier integrates audio along with an emergency paging solution through its priority override. Audio on the priority input suspends the audio on the normal input and switches the speaker amplifier to pass the priority audio. This feature is becoming more important to handle any emergency from natural disasters to other situations such as lockdowns.

Atlona HDAir

The HDAiR is Atlona Technologies’ USB-to-HDMI wireless converter. Atlona has announced new features for the HDAiR, including point to multi-point, and Macintosh compatibility. The first release of the HDAiR in 2009 was a video-only solution. The new HDAiR has the ability to output audio in both 3.5mm analog, as well as embedded on the HDMI output, making it a viable solution for a much broader range of users. This latest update to the HDAiR allows users to connect up to four receivers to a single transmitter, making it even more beneficial in educational environments, as well as localized digital signage and retail.

Midas PRO9

Midas’ PRO9 is a new addition to its PRO Series of digital audio systems that includes the PRO3 and the PRO6. PRO9 features an 88 channel input count and 35 buses, with the dual stage boxes offering placement flexibility up to 200m apart and 500m from the FOH position. The PRO9 benefits from the full range of Midas I/O box options, including the DL251 fixed format stage box and the DL431 24 channel fiveway mic splitter offering three mic preamps per channel and dual digital network connections, both with full redundancy. The range also includes the new Klark Teknik DN9650 digital format converter offering connectivity to many different digital protocols, including MADI and Dante.
