IRVINE, CA--Vizio's “Million Dollar Event” was designed to thank consumers who have made VIZIO a leading flat panel TV brand. Consumer response was so strong that Vizio has seen visits to their website grow by more than 400 percent.

Laynie Newsome, Vizio's Co-Founder, V.P. of sales & marketing communications said, "Unlike other tier 1 competitors, we at Vizio are growing, we are profitable, we are hiring, and now we are giving away $1,000,000 in HDTVs because we run an efficient operation. This is a remarkable achievement in a time when our competitors are laying off employees and losing millions of dollars a quarter, we are honored to be in a position to give back to loyal American consumers.”

Entries for the “Million Dollar Event” began Sunday February 1, 2009 and run through August 14, 2009. Consumers are encouraged to enter early at www.vizio.com for the best chance to win. "We are giving away $1,000,000 in our biggest and best-performing HDTV in the XVT series," said Vizio director of marketing Jason Maciel.

The first drawing will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009 and each week thereafter through August 31, 2009. Winners will be chosen weekly at random. There will be 28 drawings in total and the winners will be posted on Vizio's website. To learn more about the promotion and to see the official rules, log on to www.vizio.com.
