SmartVM Announces New Digital HDTV Products for Digital Signage Applications

  • Smart AV’s new HDR 4X4 HDMI Video Matrix Switcher supports multiple resolutions up to 1080p and digital audio from any four HDMI sources to four HD displays.
  • SmartVM has announced the addition of the HDMI Splitter, HDMI Switch and HDMI Matrix products to its lines of HDTV compatible devices. According to the Cleveland-based company, these digital audio and video solutions are ideal for use in digital signage applications such as airport advertising, casino wall displays, hotels, conference centers and more.
  • The SmartVM HDMI Splitter distributes a digital audio video signal to up to eight HDMI compatible displays. These v1.3 HDTV splitters support resolutions from 480i up to 1080p. The HDMI splitter is an HDCP compliant device and has simple plug-and-play functionality, the company said. Unique HDMI splitter models act as combination splitter-switches allowing digital signage network operators to connect multiple sources and switch back and forth to multiple displays.
  • The SmartVM HDMI switch will allow several HDMI digital signals to be switched between and shown on one HDMI display. The HDMI switch is compatible with v1.3 HDMI equipped and HDCP enabled HDTV devices, the company said, adding that video input and output types are standard HDMI ports found on most DVD players and HDTV LCDs.
  • SmartVM’s HDMI Matrix Switch allows up to four HDMI compatible source devices to be switched easily into four HDTV compatible monitors or projectors. Flexibility is attained by giving the user the option of displaying any of the inputs to any of the outputs while maintaining high definition resolution up to 1080p. SmartVM said it offers a wide variety of controlling options, such as RS232, Infra Red Remote and TCP/IP for the HDMI matrix switch.
