SHAKOPEE, MN--Remote Technologies Inc. (RTI) has named Brian van der Hagen as the company's new commercial market general manager, where he will be responsible for the sales and marketing activity of RTI's control solutions in the U.S. market.

He has considerable experience and a proven track record of success in the commercial market, not only as a sales representative, but also in holding key management positions for a manufacturer and a commercial integrator," said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. "His experience and established relationships throughout the industry will prove invaluable as we continue to expand in the commercial market, providing powerful, intuitive control solutions for any application, from hospitality to boardrooms, classrooms, and much more."
van der Hagen comes to RTI from AMX, where he served as director of strategic accounts for the past three years. Previously, he held the position of regional sales manager for Visitec Marketing, where he represented a variety of product lines for commercial integrators, and served as technical services manager for AVI Systems Inc., a systems integration firm. van der Hagen began his career in 1991 as an account representative for Blumberg Communications in Minneapolis.
