AMD/MediaPOINTE's DMR Recorder

Advanced Media Design (AMD) MediaPOINTE's DMRs record, archive and/or stream full motion video, with each stream managed through a secure network. Up to two video streams can be combined with PowerPoint slides, maps, or any other documents, and streamed to displays and/or individual PCs. For example, using a TANDBERG video teleconference system for distance learning, both the near end (teacher), the far end (the students in the offsite location), and the PowerPoint lesson can be recorded together for real time or future viewing.

With MediaPOINTE's CopyMe! technology, content can be downloaded to a USB flash drive or CD-ROM for easy portability and distribution. These full motion video files can be viewed both in real time and on-demand on VTCs, TVs, PCs, or portable devices.

Sony's IPELA High-Definition HG90 Codec

Sony's IPELA high-definition visual communications system comprises the PCS-HG90 codec combined with the PCSA-CHG90 pan-tilt-zoom camera. The system can transfer HD-resolution video and stereo audio over an IP network, supporting the H.264 HD video protocol with compression of 1280 x 720 at 30P or 60P, and a network video transfer bandwidth of up to eight mbps. The system lets users remotely view images at levels of precise detail, clarity and resolution not possible with standard definition. This can allow for a new type of dynamic visual communications that has potential benefits and applications in a range of markets, such as fashion, automotive design, engineering, and architecture where color, detail, and texture need to be closely scrutinized, often by teams based in different locations.
