New Black Box Mass Charging Cabinets for tablets, laptops, and other mobile devices provide the highest storage capacity in the smallest footprint in the industry. The cabinets, an exclusive Black Box design, can store, charge, and secure 60–192 devices, depending on whether it is a 15-inch Chromebook™ laptop, iPad® tablet, or other mobile device.

The cabinets offer users an economical alternative for storing large quantities of devices. To get the same capacity with charging carts, IT administrators would have to buy three or four carts taking up valuable classroom floor space. Designed for the K-12 education market, the cabinets are ideal for stationary, centralized storage.

Black Box assembles the mobile device charging cabinets at the company’s Pittsburgh-area manufacturing facility, where the cabinets go through numerous quality checks. The build process starts with the company’s most popular IT enclosures and includes adaptable shelves, cable management bars, and power strips. The adaptable shelves can be reconfigured to accommodate different mobile devices in the future.

Some models also include an automated power controller to cycle power in 15-minute increments, or syncing modules for managing and updating multiple devices at once.

Customization options include shelf liners, rubber-coated dividers, as well as network switches and equipment, and patch cables. All charging cabinets include a lifetime guarantee and free, 24/7 tech support.
