Rental & Staging Awards-Call for Entries

The International Communications Industries Association and Rental & Staging Systems magazine are accepting entries for the 2005 Rental & Staging Systems Awards. The entry deadline for the staged event portion of the Awards program is February 7, 2005.

The Rental & Staging Systems Awards recognize and reward excellence in the design and production of AV in staged events, and for innovative new products. Rental & Staging Systems magazine is conducting the juried awards program, in cooperation with ICIA and its members, concluding with the presentation of awards at InfoComm 2005 being held the week of June 8-10, 2005 in Las Vegas. Awards will be presented for the best staged events of the year (2004), and for the best new products for the rental and staging market introduced in 2004.

Categories for the staged event portion of the Awards program have changed slightly, to reflect industry trends. The categories for 2005 are:
*Best overall staging for a Corporate or Association Event, Large Venue, Large Budget (Technology budget greater than $200K)
*Best overall staging for a Corporate or Association Event, Large Venue (Technology budget >$50K, $50K)
*Best overall staging for Event, less than $10K Budget (Technology budget)
*Best overall staging for non-corporate Entertainment event
*Best Use of AV Technology for a Trade Show Booth for a Corporate Client
*Most Innovative Use of Technology, Smaller Format or Outdoor Format Event
*Best Use of Videoconferencing/Streaming Technology in a Staged Event or Trade Show Booth
*Best Use of HD (High Definition) Display in a Staged Event

The AV Communications Excellence Awards Banquet, a high-profile event at InfoComm, will enable hundreds of AV professionals to celebrate the success of leaders and pioneers in the industry, in both the installed AV and Rental & Staging markets. Winners of awards for the best staged events of the year will be selected by an independent panel of judges including members of the ICIA Rental and Staging Council and editorial staff of Rental & Staging Systems magazine. Awards for the best new products for the rental and staging market will be made on the basis of a special Rental & Staging Systems magazine readers' poll.
