Network Electronics / VPG Opens Design Center in Chicago

OXNARD, CA--To support its ambitious development schedule, Network Electronics / VPG has announced the launch of a new design center in Chicago, IL. The new office will initially focus on accelerating enhancements to the Ventura product line, and also provide engineering resources to further synergies between Network Electronics and VPG equipment. Network Electronics acquired VPG earlier this year to offer industry-leading solutions in reliable video transport, routing, and signal processing over short and long distances. The Ventura range targets the telco and broadcast markets with advanced products to facilitate the compression, transmission and economical transport of HD signals.

The new center will be directed by Engineering Manager Raphael Rousseau, who will report to Andrew Osmond, Network / VPG Chief Technology Officer.

"We are delighted to be able to take advantage of the outstanding pool of engineering talent in the greater Chicago area," said Eugene Keane, CEO of the company's VPG subsidiary. Added Rousseau, "building a design team to create world class products provides an excellent opportunity to advance Network / VPG's telecommunications and video technologies."
