InfoComm Launches Government Relations Program

  • InfoComm is pleased to unveil a new government relations program aimed at providing members with accurate information about pending state legislation impacting licensure.
  • To get the program started we have compiled a current state-by-state list of licensing requirements for those performing low voltage/limited energy work, electrical contractors, electricians, alarm installers, and professional engineers. In the near future we will be providing state-by-state information on pending legislative action on licensure initiatives. All of this information will be available and continually updated on the members-only section of www.infocomm.org. These documents are for information purposes only and are not intended to issue legal advice.
  • At this point, InfoComm plans on acting as an information source for members, rather than taking on an advocacy role. We have retained Richard E. Reed, RCDD/OSP Specialist, as a consultant for this new initiative. If you have any questions about the new program, please contact Betsy Jaffe, Director of Public Relations, at 703-279-6385 or at legislation@info.comm.org.
