Macdonald Tapped for Meyer Northeastern Regional Sales

  • Industry veteran Sandy Macdonald has been appointed Meyer Sound's new Northeastern Regional Sales Manager, according to an announcement made by the company in late April at the NSCA show in Denver.
  • "Sandy is a perfect fit for our company," said Meyer Sound's Director of North American Sales, Greg McVeigh, on the occasion. "For me, it's a real luxury to have somebody with his qualifications in that position. I'm confident he will help continue Meyer's healthy pace of growth in that part of the country."
  • Macdonald comes to Meyer Sound after eighteen years of service at Eastern Acoustic Works, where he served as both National Sales Manager and International Sales Manager.
  • "This is an exciting move for me," commented Macdonald. "Meyer Sound is the only other loudspeaker company that I really wanted to work with. I've respected their products from day one."
  • Macdonald foresees strong potential in the Northeast for Meyer products, both in the installation and touring markets. He is particularly enthusiastic about the new M Series. "Everybody who has heard the M2D has been blown away by it, and I expect it will really shake up that segment of the line array market."
  • Macdonald is based out of Meyer Sound's regional sales office in Westborough, Massachusetts, about 40 minutes outside of Boston. He assumes primary responsibility for Meyer Sound sales in New England, the Middle Atlantic states and portions of the upper Midwest.
