Shure Wireless Seminars Head East

NILES, IL--Shure Incorporated recently staged Advanced Wireless Seminars in four cities in the Southeast. The Company is staging the events in cities around the U.S. for its dealers and technicians from major venues. This leg of the tour included stops in Atlanta, Nashville, Orlando, and Miami.

The Atlanta event was held at the headquarters of Georgia Public Broadcasting. "Shure products have long been mainstays in radio and television broadcast studios, and we felt that Georgia Public Broadcasting was the ideal place to stage this seminar," said Herman Civils of Millar Electronics, the Shure Representative in Georgia. Georgia Public Broadcasting includes PBS television stations and NPR radio stations.

Each six-hour Advanced Wireless Seminar covers the fundamentals of radio waves, transmitter and receiver design, RF spectrum and 'White Spaces,' frequency coordination, antenna placement, scanning equipment, and software aids. "I have been doing sound for over 30 years and thought I knew most of the info, but I definitely learned some things," commented one attendee.

"As the spectrum becomes more crowded and the use of wireless audio equipment increases, wireless system setup becomes much more important," said Gino Sigismondi, Training Manager for Shure Incorporated. "These seminars give our customers the tools they need to maximize the performance of Shure wireless systems."

Additional seminars are being planned for other cities around the U.S. and the next one is scheduled for July 17 in Denver. Attendees can earn Certified Technology Specialist renewal credits through InfoComm.
