Robert Thiel, CEO, AVW-TELAV Audio Visual Solutions is pleased to announce the appointment of Heidi Welker to Vice President Marketing.
Some 18 years ago, Heidi came highly recommended as someone who would make a great addition to our team. I am proud to say our expectations have been surpassed many times over, said Robert Thiel.
Heidi started her career in the meetings and conventions industry in 1982, and joined AVW-TELAV as Director of Marketing for the Canadian Division in 1987. Since 2001 she has been responsible for the marketing of both the US and Canadian divisions of AVW-TELAV. As the company has grown so have her responsibilities. Heidi manages the national and local marketing programs for 34 branches throughout North America; directs corporate communications; oversees tradeshow participation; and is responsible for customer feedback surveys; the corporate website, e-initiatives and the companies internal and external newsletters.
Heidi is an active member of the Professional Convention Management Association, Meeting Professionals International and the American Marketing Association.
She is a consummate team player, with a disciplined drive to get the job done. She meets challenges with a can-do, heads-up attitude, said Thiel.
