NEW YORK, NY—The Government Video Expo takes place December 1- 3 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. The show features more than 120 exhibitors; presentations by Avid, Panasonic, VBrick ,and Artesia; two days of prize drawings for attendees, and a lot more.
Among the keynote speakers at GV Expo are a couple of people who have used the recent rise of social media websites to spread what their agencies need to say. Len Sipes of the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency in Washington, DC, has developed radio and TV services and created a web presence with visitors from around the nation and the globe. There’s a widely read blog and links to audio and video segments that other agencies are using to help their missions as well. Sipes and producer Timothy Barnes will show how they make technology work not just as a public relations tool but to get actual work done, in “The DC Fugitive Safe Surrender Program: Case Study” at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2.
