Sigmet's Carey Stewart Kress Passes

  • Carey Stewart Kress, 58, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Preceded by his parents, Georgia Stewart and John Howard Kress, he is survived by his wife, Lynn St.Clair Kress, son, Paul Rivenbark (Melissa), brother Scott Kress (Bernel). Beloved "Dude" of grandchildren Linkoln and Isis, nephew Scott Jr., niece Kia and a host of other family and devoted friends and colleagues.
  • After graduating from University of Rhode Island, he relocated to the DC area and enjoyed a performance career as musician/lead singer in rock band Face Dancer during the 70's and 80's. Carey developed an extensive mid-atlantic territory as a manufacturers rep in the professional audio industry for more than two decades and continued to work until his death. Never one to sit around, Carey's pastime activities included sound engineer for local bands, home stereo/theatre design, auto mechanics, football, ice hockey, auto racing, airplane restoration and he was an overall "Project Man" extraordinaire.
  • Carey Kress was a Representative of Sigmet Corporation for 10 Years.
