Orange Business Services has released several new enhancements to it telepresence portfolio aimed at encouraging wider enterprise adoption.
Highlights of the enhancements:
· The addition of Telepresence Community. This solution provides direct access to Cisco’s 800 Telepresence rooms, on a free trial basis until April 1, 2011.
· Renewed outreach to global operators. Orange Business Services aims to have at least three major interconnections in place before the end of the year.
· Orange Business Services is currently working on pooling Telepresence infrastructure in hosted and managed modes, ultimately offering Telepresence as a cloud service. A launch is expected in the near future.
Currently, Orange Business Services operates Telepresence networks in 140 countries -- the only one certified by Cisco in 46 countries.
