Aviom Wins MIPA Award

Aviom CEO Carl Bader accepts the 2008 MIPA Award for best Sound System Technology at MusikmesseFRANKFURT, GERMANY--Aviom's Pro64 Series was honored at Musikmesse/Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt, Germany, as the best Sound System Technology for 2008. The award was given by the Musikmesse International Press Association, on the vote of the 100-plus member publications from around the world.

In accepting the MIPA. award, Carl Bader, Aviom's president and CEO, noted that the company has come a long way in the seven years since the A-16 Personal Mixer was first sketched out on a design board. "It's very gratifying to be honored for achievement in such a broad category, almost seven years to the day since we first started working on the mixer," said Bader. "Users around the world are recognizing the importance of the technological breakthroughs made with A-Net and are seeing the ways Aviom's technology simplifies their design process while improving the flexibility and fidelity of their systems."

Aviom officially unveiled the new Pro64 6416m Mic Input Module at Prolight + Sound, along with the RCI Remote Control Interface and MCS Mic Control Surface. "We're very excited to be showing these products to the public for the first time, and it's great to see how enthusiastic the reception has been," added Bader. "But it's significant that this award is for the technology itself and not any one product. As people connect more and more devices digitally, it's increasingly important for manufacturers to look at solving problems at the most fundamental, systemic level. Good product design is critical, and we take a lot of pride in the elegance of our product designs. But even the best product work can't compensate for shortcomings in the core technology."
