The Board of Directors also announced the promotion of Steve Metzger to executive vice president and chief operating officer, with the intention that he assumes the role of president upon Lockhart’s retirement.

Lockhart joined Biamp in 1984 to run its sales and marketing division, and in 1985 he became its president. These are all key factors that have contributed to our success,” said Lockhart. “I’m very pleased the board has named Steve as my successor. Steve is a born leader with the right combination of technology expertise and management experience. With his strategic vision, I’m confident he’ll continue to build upon the success of this company.”
