The annual NASCAR media day took place at the newly renovated Daytona International Speedway. NASCAR’s top 70 drivers helped Fox Sports get ready for the 2016 NASCAR season, rotating through seven themed rooms, shooting promos behind an American flag, and standing alongside a luminescent shell of a race car. The highly anticipated day featured LMG’s innovative video solutions.
To enhance NASCAR’s most cherished symbol, the race car, LMG provided two Panasonic 20K projectors to projection map a full sized race car with custom designs for multiple shots.
“Every year the NASCAR media day design is an out of this world experience and this year was the projection mapped race car,” states Jimmy Russo, LMG’s Account Executive - Touring. “It was not only a hit for the camera, but every driver that came in took photos and videos to post on their own social media outlets.”
The projection mapped photos and videos will be used for commercial spots, promotions and will air during FOX and Fox Sports One NASCAR broadcasts this season.
