Rob Smith of Shure discusses what to expect in Barcelona next month.
ISE 2026 is set to open its doors at Fira de Barcelona from Feb. 3-6 and welcome thousands of Pro AV industry friends to see the newest technologies and trends. SCN asked several exhibitors for the inside scoop on what to expect this year. Through this series of short Q&As, we'll talk trends and pre-show buzz, plus give you an exclusive sneak preview of what you'll see on the show floor.
Today, Rob Smith, senior director, strategic market development at Shure, talks the AI-enabled workplace and ceiling speakers.
SCN: What technology or industry trend will be providing the most buzz on the ISE 2026 show floor?
Rob Smith: AI will continue to be a key topic. At ISE, we’ll see how companies implement it across the industry. For example, at Shure, we use it in our IntelliMix DSP software to enhance audio, remove unwanted noise and enhance the voice. ISE will be a great opportunity to see how these innovations come together.
SCN: What is your company’s main focus at the show this year?
RS: At this year’s ISE we’ll continue to focus on collaboration technology that empowers the AI-powered workplace. We’ll also bring innovations for broadcast and sports production alongside new technologies for live events. We can’t wait to share them with the industry.
