At InfoComm 09, HaiVision is introducing the Barracuda compact H.264 encoder. The encoder supports SDI, S-video, and composite video inputs, and addresses a wide array of IP video users by supporting advanced features such as HaiVision's HiLo Streaming. The Barracuda is compatible with industry-standard set-top boxes and also integrates well with Video Furnace System 5, HaiVision's end-to-end H.264 IP video solution featuring the "zero footprint" InStream desktop player. The Barracuda is available as a stand-alone appliance or in a 4U rack-mount chassis for up to 21 Barracuda mini-blade encoders.
