Rental & Staging Roadshow Returns Triumphantly To New York
  • YONKERS, NY--The Rental & Staging Roadshow series returned to the place where it all began almost exactly one year prior -- Altman Rentals in Yonkers, NY. Held on July 30, the event featured business sessions by Tom Stimson, CTS, technical sessions from InfoComm, and a lighting session by Altman's experts, as well as an exhibit area that featured presentations from Christie, Eiki, Sharp, and Thomson, Grass Valley, to name a few.

Michael Stiller, principle of Michael Stiller Design; Adam Goldstein, New Bay Media group publishing director; Brian Brooks, president of MB Productions; and David Keene, executive editor Rental & Staging Systems at the 2008 Rental Roadshow stop at Altman Rentals in Yonkers, NY.The Roadshow's Platinum Sponsors were Barco, Corporate Audio Visual Services (CAVS), and Immediate Connections. The event was produced by NewBay Media, publisher of Rental & Staging Systems, Systems Contractor News, Systems Contractor News Asia, AV Technology, Digital Signage Magazine, and Residential Systems,

The beautiful summer day brought many of the Northeast's top rental and staging professionals to Altman Rentals, where they were treated to a day of informative sessions, the latest technology from the biggest names in the industry, and a free lunch. New to the July 2008 event, with attendance topping 200, were the lighting session and the fact that attendees now earn up to three InfoComm CTS Renewal Units.

Brian Brooks, president of MB Productions of Fairfield, NJ-a top staging company in the New York City corporate and entertainment staging market-said the Rental & Staging Roadshow is the perfect place to bring his staff for education, product info, and networking. "After attending the event last year, I came back and brought a half-dozen of my staff. It's an ideal opportunity to take a break from the show schedule and get, particularly for me, business and management tips from Tom Stimson, which is invaluable... and let my staff network and get produc
t training."

"This was a significant event not just because it begins our second year of producing the Rental & Staging Roadshows," states Adam Goldstein, vice president/group publishing director, NewBay Media Systems Group, "but also because it shows how much the events have grown over the year. Our Yonker's event had more exhibitors and attendees than any previous Roadshow, and the increased support from InfoComm and their CTS Renewal Units show that the Roadshows are an integral part of any rental and staging company's training plan."
