Digital Signage Quarterly magazine together with The Digital Signage Group will sponsor the 2007 DIGI Awards, recognizing outstanding resellers, dealers, and integrators of digital signage. The DIGI Awards are the only industry awards that recognize the outstanding resellers, dealers and integrators of digital signage, including signage/messaging systems for the retail environment. The 2006 DIGI Awards garnered extraordinary attention in the digital signage industry. Last spring, the judges received sixty entries from around the globe -more than three times the number of entries than last year. Displaying both technical innovation and a constant eye on solid marketing foundations, last year’s entries demonstrated a clear sense of mission: the designers and installers did their homework and tailored their solution to the needs of the customer. The winners avoided just taking a media model from another medium and moving it to a public space. They crafted content and leveraged technology to target consumers and citizens in a creative, non-obtrusive and engaging fashion.
This year the DIGI Awards will be open to all digital signage installations completed in 2006, regardless of the application or the number of screens installed. Any reseller, dealer, or integrator who has been the primary client contact for a digital signage application installed in 2006 is eligible to submit that installation for an award.
