HAWTHORNE, NY--BTX Technologies has signed a distribution agreement with Harbor Products for the sale of Rescue Tape to the professional AV systems integrator in the United States.

Rescue Tape is a self-fusing silicone tape with infinite uses. First employed by the U.S. military, the product can be used to insulate electrical wiring, perform as shrink wrap even after a connector has been terminated onto a cable, and even to apply a weathertight seal for mated connectors.

"BTX consistently looks for products that simplify the installation process," stated Greg Schwartz, president of BTX Technologies. "Rescue Tape is such a simple yet versatile product. Creating an airtight, watertight seal in seconds, it's a perfect solution for countless field termination applications. Unlike other tape products, Rescue Tape is non-sticky; it adheres only to itself. So, when it is removed, it leaves no residue."

"By partnering with BTX Technologies, we gain access to an extensive network of dealers in the professional A/V market, which will certainly find Rescue Tape to be an incredible tool," said Ron Cordas, vice president of sales for Harbor Products, Inc. "BTX has an exceptional reputation for offering outstanding after-sale support and training to ensure dealers get the most out of each installation. We're excited about the prospect of this partnership, as well as learning about the many new uses integrators will find for Rescue Tape."
