IntelliMat, Inc. has announced it has selected The Digital Signage Group as the exclusive distributor of its dynamic, digital floor displays to the commercial AV and IT Integrator channels. The five-year agreement allows IntelliMat to reach more than 2,000 small- to medium-sized companies that sell and install digital signage equipment, according to Scott Templeton, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing.
"The Digital Signage Group is recognized nationally and internationally as a leader in the digital signage industry," Templeton said. "By partnering with The Digital Signage Group, we are able to dramatically accelerate our penetration into these critical markets, and we bring a unique product that this vertical needs. The Digital Signage Group is a top flight organization and well-respected. We are delighted to join with them and confident they can help us expand our business within the ProAV and IT Integrator channels."
The IntelliMat(r) is a wireless computer embedded in a thin mat made of a lightweight thermoplastic alloy with four LCD screens, creating a 30-inch diagonal display with full multi-media capability. Translation: lots of color, motion and sound from a high quality video display-right at your feet, right in the store and right at the point of purchase decisions. The engaging video display can be seen clearly from more than 10 feet away.
"IntelliMat owns the only patented digital media technology for use on the floor," said Jill Miller, EVP of Digital Signage Group. "We are thrilled to be involved with this dynamic product and know our clients will benefit from this unique and powerful point-of-sale advertising tool."
The Digital Signage Group will initially target the commercial AV and IT Integrator channels in the United States, Canada and Mexico. IntelliMat and The Digital Signage Group plan to collaborate on additional international marketing efforts. The Digital Signage Group exhibited with IntelliMat at the National Retail Federation's Annual Convention and Expo last week in New York City.
"The IntelliMat combines the best of digital wall signage and static floor advertising," Templeton said. "The mat lies on the floor, in the consumer's natural line of vision, and easily provides information to influence buying decisions, by delivering a unique one-to-one communication in an individual's 'personal space.' Because of its floor position, the IntelliMat does not displace product on shelves - or force consumers to look up at TVs hanging from the ceiling."
IntelliMat, Inc. is a new company formed to manufacture, market and distribute the IntelliMat, after extensive market research proved the mat was a powerful advertising tool. IntelliMats have been successfully tested at the Sony Style Store in New York City, Kroger stores in Virginia and other retailers. The company's Web site is www.intellimat.com.
