New 8X8 HDMI Switcher Available From Altinex

Altinex has unveiled its MX430-101 8X8 HDMI Matrix Switcher. Ideal for training facilities, presentation spaces, and other multimedia environments incorporating multiple video sources and displays, the new MX430-101 can simultaneously distribute any input to any one output, all eight outputs, or any combination of outputs while maintaining full HDMI image resolution and signal integrity.

  • Supporting computer sources up to UXGA and HDTV video sources up to 1080p, the new Altinex MX430-101 is fully HDMI V1.3 compliant for Deep Color (up to trillions of colors) with lossless digital audio such as Dolby’s TrueHD Master Audio—enabling sound and picture to have maximum impact. Equally significant, this matrix switcher supports HDCP V1.1 for content protection with individual key management on each output.

Using standard RS-232 or Infra-Red (optical or digital by means of a handheld remote or a 3.5 mm jack for digital IR input), the MX430-101 can be governed via popular control systems or through the unit's front panel—providing the flexibility to optimize the system to the environment. Further, the MX430-101 utilizes the standard Altinex serial protocol similar to the company’s other MultiTasker products, facilitating seamless integration with other Altinex AV system equipment. Front panel control includes six programmable “snap-shot” configurations that provide rapid access to one’s most frequently used equipment combinations.

The new Altinex MX430-101 includes comprehensive support for EDID, the protocol that provides the video source and display monitor the basic configuration information to work together correctly. The MX430-101 provides two methods—internal and external—of identifying monitor resolutions. In TV Mode, the MX430-101 connects the input with the first HDMI recognized output starting at Output 1 through Output 4. In Standard Mode, the MX430-101 pulls EDID resolutions from an internal table. The new Altinex MX430-101 8 X 8 Matrix Switcher package includes the matrix unit, an IR remote, an IR extended receiver,a supporting bottom rail for mounting stability, a power supply, and a 6-foot power cable. The MX430-101 carries a MSRP of $4,550 and is now available.
