WSDG Partners With Maxicom In Miami

MIAMI, FL—Walters-Storyk Design Group (WSDG) Miami has joined forces with Maxicom, a 10-year-old Miami-based AV design and installation company, to provide architectural/ acoustic design and audio video integration services.

WSDG Miami’s team is lead by Sergio Molho, director of international relations; Andrés Klein, director of technology; Samuel Naierman, director of engineering; and Ilan Weinstein, director of marketing and new business development.

The new firm’s showroom incorporates multiple levels of AV and automation systems via the Living Entertainment Center. A program of seminars on acoustic design and integration is being developed for local architects and industry professionals.

Sennheiser Awards Dealers

OLD LYME, CT—The U.S. subsidiary of Sennheiser named Southern California Sound Image its 2009 dealer of the year for excellent sales, customer support, and comprehension of Sennheiser’s diverse line of installed sound systems and components. Sennheiser Electronic Corporation also named top dealers and distributors for its three other business categories: Micro Center (Sennheiser retail business), B&H Photo Video (Sennheiser professional audio business), and EDMO Distributors (Sennheiser aviation business). To express its thanks, Sennheiser made a donation to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development fund in the name of the winners.

Electrosonic Acquires DRV Companies

BURBANK, CA—Electrosonic has acquired The Multimedia Group, owners of the DRV companies DRV Integration, one of Europe’s foremost designers and integrators of corporate, medical, and educational AV technology, and DRV Support, a provider of multimedia managed service and maintenance solutions to organizations across the U.K. Electrosonic and DRV’s operations will over time be combined.

AGOURA HILLS, CA—French electronic pop duo Air recently completed an extensive tour of Europe and America carrying a combined FOH and monitor iLive digital system from Allen & Heath. AIR’s FOH engineer Dave McDonald said the “iLive’s two greatest attributes are the way it’s laid out and the way it sounds.” The Air iLive system comprises an iDR10 MixRack digitally split to an iDR0 minirack positioned on stage, with iLive-112 Control Surfaces at FOH and monitors.
