DAVACO Taps Roberson for New Division

DAVACO Inc., the provider of retail services and solutions, announced Sept.6 the formation of its Global Logistics and Consolidation division, which specializes in the overall movement and corresponding logistics, consolidation and fulfillment of store assets and supplies. According to DAVACO, the new division will strengthen the company's retail services offering by unifying its existing logistics and consolidation abilities, including sourcing, importing, consolidation, warehousing, fulfillment, delivery, logistical coordination, inventory tracking and on-line status updates of any project.

The division will be managed by Mark Roberson, appointed as the vice president of global logistics and consolidation, where he will oversee the division's day-to-day operations, while further expanding existing capabilities and identifying opportunities to better serve DAVACO's national retail brand customers and the execution of their programs. Roberson, who joined DAVACO in 1990, has held various management positions that included field training, equipment rental, temporary labor acquisition, logistical management of field employees, job scheduling and tracking, as well as directing the transportation, consolidation, warehousing and distribution for DAVACO clients.

"The formation of the global logistics and consolidation division continues to build on DAVACO's unique ability to help retailers maintain brand consistency and get their stores open faster to maximize profitability," said Rick Davis, DAVACO's CEO. "Mark's experience and retail industry knowledge will certainly be an asset as we continue to build on the company's capabilities to best meet the needs of our clients and their stores."

DAVACO's global logistics and consolidation services range from the management and maintenance of ongoing client requirements for warehousing, consolidation, movement and securing of client brand assets and other owner furnished items, to the coordination of all the details for store initiatives such as opening kits, promotional and seasonal graphics, fixture packages and any other required elements needed at the individual store level.
