INDIA—Digital Projection International is celebrating the 1,000 digital cinema installation utilizing the company’s projection systems with its partner, UFO Moviez of Mumbai. The milestone installation exemplifies the continued growth of the world’s largest digital cinema network under a single operations centre.

In order to successfully digitalize the Indian cinema experience, UFO Moviez sought to create technical partnerships that linked similar minded companies with the relevant experience to make it happen. This team included Digital Projection International, DG2L, 3i, Hughes Escorts, and Famous Studios.

UFO Moviez CEO and Executive Director Sanjay Gaikwad comments: “We identified Digital Projection International (DPI) after detailed research, trials and discussions. The unique selling point of DPI is their dedicated and unrivalled focus on DLP projection systems. Their projectors are highly evolved, technically rugged and designed for consistency. Our faith in digital cinema, together with the technology of our partners, has enabled us to take such an aggressive financial approach.”
