BTX to Distribute Yamaha Web Conference Microphone Speakers

  • BTX Technologies has been named as U.S. importer and distributor of the Yamaha ProjectPhone Web conference microphone speakers for the professional AV market. BTX's initial product offering will include the wide-bandwidth PJP-20UR microphone speaker, the personal, pocket-sized PJP-10UR, and the eight-microphone PJP-50USB.
  • Yamaha's ProjectPhone Web conferencing microphone speakers each feature a high-performance echo canceller and noise reduction function to eliminate unwanted ambient sounds and noises, such as from projectors and air conditioners. Simple to operate, users simply connect the devices to a PC with a USB cable, and experience smooth, hands-free communication with no cut-outs or echo.
  • Ideal for telepresence and teleconference applications, the ProjectPhone allows participants to speak naturally to each other as if in the same room. The PJP-20UR delivers HD clarity from 300 Hz to 20 kHz, can be placed anywhere in the room without concern for cut-out, and allows users to hold their conference anywhere with available space. Featuring an aluminum construction, the PJP-10UR offers the high stability demanded by businesses and is optimized for individual use. Compact and lightweight, while offering frontal directivity for added power and clarity, the PJP-10UR is slim enough to fit in a pocket, making it easy to take on the road.
  • The eight-microphone PJP-50USB offers a newly improved microphone tracking function for a wide pickup range and clear audio. The unit greatly reduces ambient noise by directing its arrayed microphones exclusively toward the talker, while improving the quality of picked up sound, making the talker's voice come through clearly.
  • "BTX consistently looks for products that bring innovation and convenience to a number of AV applications, and Yamaha's ProjectPhone line certainly accomplishes that," said Greg Schwartz, president of BTX Technologies. "For businesses, these devices are simple to use and provide an unmatched level of flexibility and quality in Web conferencing."
  • "BTX has a well-deserved reputation for innovation, which will prove invaluable as we bring ProjectPhone to the AV market in the U.S.," said Terri Hideki Nakagawa, supervisor of Yamaha Sound Network division. "Partnering with BTX provides us with access to an extensive network of dealers, and we are certain their customers will find our ProjectPhone Web conference speakers to be a highly effective and convenient solution for their business applications."
