Hitachi Adds Lee As VP Marketing

SAN DIEGO, CA-The Ubiquitous Platform Systems Division of Hitachi America has appointed Daniel Lee to the position of vice president of marketing.
With over 15 years' experience in the consumer electronics industry, holding similar leadership positions with Maxell Corporation of America and LG Electronics, Lee has shown remarkable success in establishing both companies as leaders in their respective markets. With Hitachi, Lee will direct the U.S.-based marketing, communications, and advertising strategies across the company's complete line of consumer electronics and "increase Hitachi's share in various presentation technology markets in the U.S. through effective marketing strategies and brand awareness campaigns," explained Lee.

"The commercial AV market continues to evolve at a pace concurrent with the development of the technologies that drive it," he continued. Lee intends to take steps towards differentiating Hitachi products from the competition's through a steadfast commitment to research and development. "An example of this has been the incorporation of 3LCD technology in our projectors throughout the entire product line." Hitachi's product development, he explained, will depend on its ability to assess and meet the demands of the end-users, which he asserts is the company's greatest strength.

"Staying one step ahead of the competition through the development of superior technologies will always be a challenge," Lee concluded, "as is the responsibility of raising the awareness and market share of Hitachi's leading-edge products across all categories."
