Extron Electronics Expands Operations in North Carolina with New Building and New Jobs

ANAHEIM, CA--Extron is expanding its operations on the East Coast with the construction of a new 140,000 square foot building in Raleigh, NC. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Tuesday March 18th at the new site. This new facility, which replaces Extron's current 12,400 square foot building, will house a research and development center, service, support, and a distribution center for its extensive line of audio visual products. Extron will bring high-level jobs to the area, and expects to hire as many as 125 people by the time the new facility opens. That number could grow to 350 employees within five years.

Extron chose this site for its expansion based on many factors, including the strong labor pool, surrounding universities and the steady stream of talented workers moving to the Raleigh and Triangle region each year. "We are very excited to expand our operations in this new, full-service East Coast office, especially as we celebrate our 25th Anniversary as a company," says Andrew C. Edwards, President and founder of Extron. "This new facility will enhance our ability to provide our S3 - Service, Support, and Solutions for our customers on the Eastern side of the country with even faster product delivery, as well as offer an on-site S3 Training Facility with a full complement of Extron Certification Training Programs." Edwards is a native of Wilson, NC.

Extron's corporate headquarters in Anaheim, CA will continue to be the base of operations for sales, marketing, research and development, and manufacturing. The new East Coast Office will grow over the next several years to supplement many of these activities as well. Other Extron office locations include The Netherlands, Singapore, Japan, China, and Dubai.
