SMART Celebrates Immense Growth

CANADA/SINGAPORE—Interactive whiteboard manufacturer SMART Technologies is proud to announce that is one millionth whiteboard recently rolled off the company’s production line. In Singapore, SMART registered nearly 100 percent increase in the sales of the SMART Board from the fiscal year of 2006 to 2007. From fiscal year 2007 to 2008, SMART recorded a 150 percent increase.

For more than 15 years, SMART has continued to develop and refine its SMART Board interactive whiteboard by improving hardware design and upgrading software. The company has steadily expanded its Canadian- based operations to meet increasing global demand for its wide range of popular education, training and collaboration products.

“Since we first conceptualized the interactive whiteboard, we saw the potential for the product in numerous teaching, learning and collaboration environments,” says David Martin, SMART’s cofounder and executive chairman.
