Rental & Staging Heats Up Atlanta

  • The Rental and Staging Council, under the leadership of president Don Guzauckas, has a variety of activities planned for InfoComm 2004 in Atlanta, Ga. The ICIA is offering a "Super Tuesday" event especially for the rental market. Hosted by Joel Rollins, CTS-R, it will include technology and business discussions and a lively, interactive panel discussion. This intensive 6-hour course will cover:
  • The Impact of Digital Technology on the Rental and Staging Industry; Joel Rollins
  • Intro to Streaming Video for Corporate Events; Don Guzauckas, Jr., CTS, HB Group, Inc.
  • Preparing the Rental Company for the New Technologies; Joel Rollins, Don Guzauckas, and Andre LeJeune, CTS, MVP International
  • Emerging Markets for the Rental & Staging Industry; JP Brozyna, CTS, AGF Services, Inc.
  • InfoComm Show Floor: What to look for? What questions should I ask? Joel Rollins.
  • New in 2004 and highly requested, InfoComm, with the sponsorship of Rental & Staging Systems magazine and BARCO/Folsom Events, is featuring a Pro Lighting & Staging Pavilion to highlight solutions for corporate staged and lighting events. This is where companies will highlight their products and services to corporate buyers and major AV houses involved in corporate lighting and staging. Relaxed show rules allow for special lighting and sound in this area.
  • The R&S Council will also host its annual Rental and Staging Forum, to be held June 9, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m, in the Pavilion. This year, the forum will feature discussions on business and competition, fraud and what lies ahead for our industry. Many people are concerned about the direction in which perceived value of our equipment and services is headed. This discussion may give some insight into preventing the erosion of our industry.
  • For me, InfoComm will be the peak of four years of service to the Council, commented Rental and Staging Council president Don Guzauckas. I hope that the contributions that I have made, and will continue to make, can benefit the members and the Rental and Staging industry. And I encourage any of you who are not participating in ICIA or the council to become involved, and attend the events at InoComm in Atlanta. The networking and sharing of ideas that takes place gives you so much value that your time is well worth it.
  • The ICIA Rental and Staging Council is assisting ICIA rental and staging industry members by providing member and industry benefits, including a Cross-Rental Database that is now up and running on the ICIA Members' Only website.
