In Istanbul, the 2010 Worlds Cultural Capital, was created a unique show for the 83rd Republic Day Celebrations which used the Bosphorus Strait as the background canvas. Strategically placed on the Bosphorus Bridge 40 Space Cannons 8kW Xenon sky tracers lit the sky together with Space Cannons placed around seven unique locations around the city. Altogether 110 of these gigantic lights were used. The show was watched by millions of people on five mega LED screens all over the city. Three grandMA full-size, four grandMA ultra-light and 20 MA DMX Splitter controlled this heavenly light-show.

Playback Music Istanbul, with its production technology solutions, along with its designers, crew and support staff realized the show. Focus Reklam Produksiyon Hizmetleri, MA's distributor in Turkey, delivered the MA technology.

On October 29, 1923, the Turkish constitution was amended and Turkey became a republic. This formally declared the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire.
