Electrograph Adds Sony HD Videoconferencing Systems To Line Card

HAUPPAUGE, NY--Electrograph Systems is helping resellers expand their flat panel sales and profit potential with the availability of Sony's IPELA line of videoconferencing systems, including the new Sony PCS-XG80 , the 1080i HD videoconferencing system. A PCS-XG80 training session will take place during Electrograph's next Display Technology Experience (DTE) reseller event scheduled in Chicago on May 22.

"With the high cost of business travel – from the standpoint of both productivity and expenses – more of our reseller partners are installing videoconferencing systems as an affordable alternative for their customers," said Sam Taylor, president of Electrograph Systems, Inc. "This trend, combined with the generous boost in sales and margin that can result from adding one of Sony's videoconferencing systems to a flat panel sale, is a winning situation for our resellers."

"We specifically chose to distribute Sony videoconferencing systems through Electrograph because of the strong synergy between our customers and products," explained Dave Petricig, director of channel sales for Spire Global, Sony's U.S. sales, marketing and support arm for Sony's IPELA line. "Since all videoconferencing systems have to connect to a display, we couldn't think of a better partner than the nation's leading display technology distributor."

Next month at Electrograph's DTE event, Spire Global's Petricig will lead a training session on the PCS-XG80 to demonstrate how it complements existing LCD and plasma sales opportunities. "Reseller veterans and rookies alike can benefit from seeing this new system in action and learning more about how Electrograph and Spire Global can help grow this part of their business," added Petricig.
