EV hosts first Spanish-speaking IRIS-Net certification training

  • MEXCIO CITY, MEXICO--The Electro-Voice team recently visited Mexico and Colombia for two IRIS-Net software certification training sessions – presented for the first time in Spanish. The sessions were lead by George Georgallis, EV’s senior technical support applications specialist, with translation by Nicolas Betancur, inside sales engineer – Latin America, with assistance from sales managers Juan Montoya (Colombia) and Ernesto Montañez (Mexico).
  • "These were our first Spanish-speaking IRIS-Net certification sessions in Latin America,” reports Juan Montoya, “and the response was simply fantastic. The classrooms were full of audio pros eager to learn more about this uniquely versatile and powerful software platform and all its related hardware, along with the business advantages of working with EV and Bosch.”
  • “We were pleased to welcome technicians from several top AV contracting companies for the training,” says Ernesto Montañez, “and I'm pleased to report that all were very impressed with the features offered by our NetMax system controller, CPS amplifiers, and IRIS-Net software. I’m confident we will see numerous projects specified using this combination of equipment in 2010 and beyond.”
  • “We have experienced significant growth in our Latin American markets over the last couple of years,” Montoya adds, “largely by reaching out with training and demonstration sessions like this. Attendees even flew in from Uruguay and Panama; it’s clear that there’s a buzz around IRIS-Net and NetMax as people look for more powerful and flexible system control solutions for installed and live sound. The EV difference also extends into microphones, with the IRIS-Net-compatible REV system, and amplification, with the new CPS, TG and P-RL series remote-control amps, as well as our DSP and speakers. More and more projects in Latin America are being supported with IRIS-Net-controlled systems, and we will continue to offer the highest level of training and service to back this growth up. We’d like to thank everyone who attended the sessions.”
