Minicom Advanced Systems (www.minicom.com) has announced the formation of a dedicated Digital Signage Division is to be led by former Vice President for North American Sales, Dave Haar. The decision comes as a result of the company's recognition of the need to provide specialized business attention to the rapidly growing digital signage market.

Minicom produces a range of digital signage distribution systems (http://www.minicom.com/av-products.htm) that narrowcast HD multimedia content from media player to multiple displays in real-time, over long distance, while providing centralized control of the screen network.

According to Saul Mishaan, President of Minicom, North America, "While Minicom's main business remains firmly based within the KVM remote server management market we recognize the phenomenal growth of digital signage and the importance of dedicating special resources to maintaining and developing our qualitative edge in this market."

In parallel with this move, Rami Sasson, current Vice President of Business Development, will become Minicom's new Vice President of North American Sales, charged with leading Minicom's successful US sales force and pushing the next generation of digital signage distribution systems and out-of-band KVM server management solutions.
