Biamp Expands Corporate Headquarters in Oregon

  • BEAVERTON, OR--Biamp Systems, a 33 year old Oregon company has relocated its headquarters to a larger facility in Beaverton.
  • As Biamp expands its market leadership position in the commercial audio market, and makes significant inroads with the introduction of its new advanced paging and voice evacuation product, Vocia -- the company has outgrown the 40,000 square foot manufacturing facility it occupied for the last ten years. The new 70,000 square foot Beaverton building on Gemini Drive will accommodate an expansive manufacturing floor and will double the size of Biamp's training facilities. The company's global expansion has also precipitated the addition of several new staff members in the manufacturing, engineering and marketing departments for US and International locations over the last 12 months.
  • "We have continued to experience strong demand for our technologies as the global economy sought to recover. We know that distance conferencing systems and Biamp's entry into the advanced paging and voice evacuation market will be key drivers of growth for the company, said Steve Metzger, Biamp president. "With our need to add new people and increase production capacity, we made the decision to expand our corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities here in Beaverton. Our people are our greatest asset, and the new facility allows us to assure that our growth in development and production can remain under one roof. The new Gemini location is a resource that allows Biamp to develop and produce products, and train our customers on our rapidly growing suite of unique products that make up the next generation of networked audio systems."
