Daktronics Sells SportsLink to Impact Video

Daktronics, Inc. has announced that it has completed the sale of certain assets of its SportsLink® video rental services business to Impact Video, a leading large screen video rental and services company based in Burbank, Calif.
The transaction includes the sale of seven trailer-mounted ProStar® LED video screens with semi tractors, ProStar® LED video sections, and associated control system equipment.

"Impact Video serves the market with the latest technologies," said Jeffrey Isenberg, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Impact Video. "We are excited about this multi-million dollar investment in Daktronics ProStar technologies and control systems. Impact Video Jump Starts the 2004-2005 Auto Show Season with Barcos I6 XP LED.

The Ford Motor Co. unveiled its new regional exhibit at the 2005 California International Auto Show last week in Anaheim, the first major market Auto Show of the Season. Included in the Ford Motor Co. exhibit are four 4.41'h x 7.35'w Barco ILite 6XP LED Screens used to display promotional videos for the various models featured such as the FORD LEGENDS consisting of The New Mustang, The GT and the Cobra.

Daktronics Unveils ProStar 3 Mill LED

Daktronics, Inc. has announced the debut of another extension to its ProStar VideoPlus product line. The Company unveiled its new, high-resolution ProStar full-color, light emitting diode (LED) display with picture elements (pixels) on 3 millimeter (0.1181 inch) center-to-center spacing at the 2004 International Sign Assocation (ISA) Expo and the 2004 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) spring show this month.

Daktronics LED for Cocor Shopping Center

Cocor Shopping Centre in Romania has chosen Daktronics LED for its digital signage. Daktronics Inc. of Brookings, S.D., and Daktronics GmbH of Wiesbaden, Germany will design, manufacture and install LED video screens on the facade of the mall. The project is valued at $3.6 million. Daktronics is excited to work with the Cocor Shopping Centre on this innovative project, said Carlos Verez, International Sales for Daktronics GmbH. This project will be a large accomplishment for us and we hope that our relationship with Cocor lasts well into the future.

Daktronics ProTour System Boffo In B'way

Daktronics Inc. provided Sound Associates Inc. with 172 square feet (16 square meters) of ProTour modular LED. The 64 panels made their Broadway debut as the dynamic backdrop for "Ring of Fire," which opened March 12 and is currently playing at the Ethel Barrymore Theater.
